IPL 8: Police constable’s lost sight shocks David Miller
The South African says he is shocked, saddened at the freak accident
Mumbai: David Miller – Kings XI Punjab’s destructive southpaw – took to Twitter to send his apologies and prayers across to police constable Alok Aich who lost his sight after a huge six off the South African hit his right eye during the Indian Premier League match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab at the Eden Gardens on May 9.
The blow came during the left-hander’s 27-run knock where he smashed two fours and two sixes. Miller is sad and shocked to hear about the consequence of the freak accident.
I am still in a state of shock and deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Mr Aich's eye. A freak accident! My prayers are with u.
