HyderabadTelangana TD leaders have criticised Rahul Gandhi’s one-day Rytu Bharosa Yatra in Adilabad district stating that the Congress leader did not bother to visit the families of farmers who had committed suicide during UPA rule.

TD Telangana president L. Ramana and LP leader Erraballi Dayakara Rao, senior leaders Ravula Chandrasekhara Reddy and Vem Narendra Reddy said  on Friday that Rahul should realise that UPA was responsible for farmers woes. Demanding Rs 2 lakh as compensation from the Congress for the families of farmers who had committed suicide during UPA rule, the TD leaders said that KCR was equally responsible for the plight of farmers.

"So far the government has not moved to console the families of victims. They have not announced a single rupee as compensation or ex-gratia. They have also conveniently forgot to declare as drought affected mandals where rains have failed and have not fulfilled the promise to waive farm loans," Dayakara Rao said.
