Bhamaa is back again
Bhamaa’s post hiatus films are waiting for release
After enjoying a hiatus, Bhamaa is back in action. She has now committed to a new Malayalam film Malgudi Days, opposite Anoop Menon. Bhamaa has decided to cut down her work in films to ease the pace of work to concentrate on her studies. “I started my career when I was in school. Since then academics became secondary. I have put my life and soul into cinema and then there was a moment when I realised that the time has come to focus on my academics. Now that studies are over, I am back to the profession I love the most,” says Bhamaa.
For many actresses a hiatus never helped. However, Bhamaa’s hopes are high as she is set to play a significant role in Malgudi Days. “This is the first time I am pairing up with Anoop Menon. I am sure it will be a wonderful experience working with him. I play a role of a complete family girl. I have done similar roles before, but I never did a well-crafted character like this.”
Last year, she did only a few films, but her acting was critically acclaimed in Ottamandaram where she played the role of 15-year-old mother. “An actor rarely gets an opportunity to play a role that satisfies her to the core. Ottamandaaram was one of them. Playing a 15-year-old mother needed a big effort. My performance was appreciated and that made me happy.”
Bhamaa has a firm foothold in the Kannada film industry too. She is eagerly waiting for her upcoming release Arjuna. “The film Arjuna is very special to me. I play an energetic and bubbly character which I always wished to do at least once in my career. It is an out and out commercial film. I am eagerly waiting for its release because the film is an instance of how I evolved as an actor and I wanted to see the outcome.”
