Hyderabad: Telugu actress Nandini, born and brought up in Hyderabad, is super excited about her upcoming projects. Her next film Mosagallaku Mosagadu, opposite Sudheer Babu, is all set to hit the screens next Friday. Her Tamil film Grahanam will also release this year. If that’s not enough, the actress is going to act in a Thai film. “Yes, I am doing a Thai film. Right now, I am taking classes to prepare for it,” says Nandini.

The actress, who made her debut last year with the Telugu film Maaya, immediately signed a Kannada film. “This is a remake of our Telugu film Gunde Jaari Gallanthayinde. The film was released in January this year and was a hit in Kannada,” she says. Actually, the Kannada film has played a role in her bagging the Thai project. “The producer of my Kannada film is a friend of this Thai producer. When they were looking for a new face, they saw my profile on Facebook and thought that I was perfect for it,” she says.

Nandini is eagerly awaiting her Telugu release. “I play a typical Brahmin girl called Janaki. It’s a de-glam character, who wears only cotton churidars and no make-up. It’s a traditional role,” she says.  She wanted to prove that Telugu girls can compete with others. “Yes, if we get a chance then we will prove it. But we need   opportunities. I am confident that Mosagallaku Mosagadu will take me to another level. I am eagerly waiting for this film’s release,” says Nandini.

The actress is ready to play glamourous roles too. “Glamour is not in clothes, it should be in our looks. That’s what I believe in. Look at Anushka. She is a South Indian girl and how she is ruling here,” says Nandini, who completed her MBA and wanted to become an actor. Her parents are into the mineral water business. She entered the film industry after taking acting classes.

Nandini is now doing a Tamil film Grahanam, produced by PVP. “This is completely opposite to my Telugu film. I look modern and glamourous in this film. It’s a thriller and   a performance-oriented one,” she says. This film will release in August. Nandini has her plate full as she’s learning Thai, Tamil, dance and going for mime classes. She says that she’ll begin shooting for the Thai film in Thailand from August. “I am planning to meet some of the Thai actors. I feel proud that as a Telugu girl, I am part of an international film and eagerly waiting for the shooting to begin,” she says. Sometime ago, a Thai girl Pinky Savika had acted in the Telugu film Emo Gurram Egara Vachu. And now, our Telugu girl Nandini is acting in a Thai film. Talk about industry ties!
