Chennai: The Madras high court has permitted RRR Movies, represented by its proprietor and actor Sarathkumar, and I Pictures represented by its partner Radhika Sarathkumar, to complete shooting of the Tamil film Vidiyal by August 31, 2015.

Justice K. Ravichandrabaabu granted the permission on an application filed by RRR Movies and I Pictures, which sought to extend the time of completion of shooting of the movie.
The application arose out of a suit filed by M/s Giriguja Films International private limited, which sought to recover Rs 1.38 crore due from the two firms.

The judge made it clear that no further extension of time shall be sought for by the applicants. He added that further extension would be considered only after the applicants furnished the security to the suit claim made by plaintiff Giriguja films. The matter has been posted to first week of September for further hearing.

Originally, Giriguja Films filed a suit claiming Rs 1.38 crore from RRR Movies and I Pictures. As per the agreement, the R R R Movies agreed to complete the  film within six months. The total sum for completing the film was fixed as Rs 4.25 crore and on the date of agreement Rs 67 lakh was paid and the balance was agreed to be paid by Giriguja films as and when the same was requested by RRR Movies.

In spite of receipt of Rs 91 lakh, RRR Movies failed to complete the movie. Giriguja Films then negotiated with RRR Movies and arrived at a settlement that RRR Movies will complete the film as the sole producer and repay Rs 91 lakh.
