Vijayawada: APSRTC managing director N. Sambasiva Rao launched the provision of free WiFi with a fastening speed for the passengers at the Pundit Nehru Bus Station, on Monday. However, the WiFi based Internet is not free for more than 30 minutes and users need to pay after usage of the said period. Nearly 500 users can access from one hot spot at a time and the free service will last only for one day and later usages will be charged.

Amidst all the RTC officials and passengers at the PNBS, Mr Sambasiva Rao launched the programme and said, “Free WiFi is supported with the BSNL and a private firm Godgel. In all, 17 hot spots are connected in various locations around the station premises and passengers can use it from any point.”

While the initiative has been liked by many, the response from the users was repulsive as the service has recorded many problems in connectivity and technical issues, which were not tested.
