George Clooney says his action days are over
The actor will soon be seen in Hollywood flick 'Tomorrowland'
George Clooney's latest movie ‘Tomorrowland’ sees the actor playing a jaded, surly, reclusive scientist who was once a wide-eyed boy genius. He teams up with a curious teenager who has a thirst for the scientific world.
Their adventure gives viewers a better look into the future, including both the good and the bad and answers for a better world that may exist in this otherworldly place called ‘Tomorrowland’.
Clooney loved the film’s optimism, which is what he said while promoting the film with his wife Amal.
"I'm not a very cynical guy, but I like doing cynical films. This was one that felt like there was none of that and sort of clean of all those kinds of things. I thought it would be fun to do," Clooney said.
He also spoke about how his action days are over. "I used do in my 30s, I would do a film with some action in it where I get to punch some guy, knock him out and walk away. Now, I'm the guy that gets punched and dropped," Clooney said.
Eagerly anticipated yet highly secretive, the film tells the story of a parallel world, an image of an ideal future from a 1964 perspective, with hovering monorails and leather suits, not the future we’re in now with Twitter, which Clooney said he refuses to use.
