Hyderabad: Telangana TD Legislature Party on Tuesday said it will snap ties with the BJP in the state if the TRS joins the Union Cabinet. Legislature Party leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao told media that the statement of Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavita that the TRS will positively consider joining the Union Cabinet if invited, showed their eagerness to make another family member of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao a Cabinet minister.
“If the TRS joins the Union Cabinet, we will snap our ties with the BJP here. It is upto the AP unit to continue its relations with the BJP there, but we cannot support the Modi government when TRS, our principal political rival, is a part of it,” Mr Errabelli said. He warned the state not to go about bringing changes in Pranahita-Chevella lift irrigation scheme to please Maharastra government. He said the designs and plans are already approved and project report sent to Centre.
At this stage the Chief Minister who wished waters to his farm land in Medak district, who wanted more underhand dealings with contractors, wants to bring several changes in the project which is not acceptable to Telangana people. “We cannot compromise on this project which was agreed by government after prolonged agitation by Telugu Desam,” he added.
