Narendra Modi comes to the rescue of 8-year-old girl with a hole in her heart
The PM came forward and bore her medical expenses
Mumbai: The Prime Minister’s office responded swiftly to a letter requesting financial help from an 8-year-old muslim girl with a hole in her heart. Taiyyaba wrote a letter to the Prime Minister telling him about her heart problem, and requested the PM to provide assistance. The girl’s father is a cobbler and hails from a socio-economically backward background.
Upon receipt of Taiyyaba’s letter, the PM’s office responded swiftly and agreed to bear all the expenses for the girl’s surgery.
In a report on CNN-IBN, the girl has been quoted saying "I have a hole in my heart. My father didn't have money for my operation. I saw on television that PM works for everyone. I deserve to live."
The girl’s father said he was grateful to PM Modi for coming to his daughter’s help.
