Nodal officer misses meet, blames night shift

Hyderabad: Even As residents of Madhavpuri Colony, Classic Enclave, and Bhaskar Raonagar were waiting for their nodal officer to turn up for the Swachh Hyderabad meeting, the official gave the meeting the previous day’s night shift.

Residents were informed that Malkajgiri DCP R. Rama Rajeshwari, the nodal officer would visit the locality at 7am on Wednesday. However, nobody turned up till 8 am. A junior officer attended the meeting. When residents complained about the stink from the Jawaharnagar dumpyard, Subhakar, a GHMC employee  reportedly said that “nothing can be done about it”.
