Swachh drive to go on till weekend
Citizens should inform the GHMC call centre with landmarks in the area for immediate attention
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is reaching out to people to keep the city clean and has extended the Swachh Hyderabad programme till the weekend.
People can call on 040-211-11-111 to report issues regarding garbage and debris clearance as well as damaged roads. Citizens should inform the GHMC call centre with landmarks in the area for immediate attention.
Around 400 instant repairing teams will work till May 23 and one instant repairing machine will be allotted to each of the 24 divisions. So far, the GHMC has received 7,328 proposals for sanitation and road works and a budget of Rs 612 crore has been allocated.
For the next few days, the GHMC has deployed 640 additional vehicles to lift the garbage/debris and other waste material. In the past three days, nearly 40,185 metric tonnes of waste have been lifted.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, as part of the Swachh Hyderabad programme, had visited seven different localities and announced two-bed room flat projects.
Aadhaar linking with voter ids
The linking of Aadhaar numbers with voter ID cards is to be completed by the end of June. So far, 59.92 per cent of the verification has been completed.
