Mumbai: In an email to the Indian cricket board, BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Security Unit (ACSU) chief, Ravi Sawani, reportedly cited numerous instances of players and IPL franchisees violated the anti-corruption code during IPL 2014.

According to a report in ‘The Indian Express’, BCCI’s ACSU chief wrote an email to BCCI top brass informing them about the breaches in anti-corruption code during the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League.

The incidents mentioned in the email include a yacht-party hosted by Kings XI Punjab co-owner and Bollywood star Preity Zinta, party organised for Delhi Daredevils and a bash for KKR by Shah Rukh Khan’s friend.

It was also reported that two women were present in the rooms of two Chennai Super Kings players. The players, when questioned, apparently told they were good friends.

The report added that a girl, friend of Preity Zinta, was present for a party. Similarly, some outsiders were part of the parties for DD and KKR players.

Indian Premier League’s Chief Operating Officer, Sundar Raman, had then made it clear to all the teams that only wives or partners and blood relatives would be allowed to stay in a player’s room. However, it is learnt that that rule was not followed by quite a few teams.
