Bengaluru: Three rowdies arrested by CCB

CCB have arrested a notorious rowdy and his two associates on the charge of preparing to commit robbery

BENGALURU: Sleuths of the Organised Crime Wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) have arrested a notorious rowdy and his two associates on the charge of preparing to commit robbery.

The accused have been identified as Lokesha alias Kenda Loki, 26, a resident of Maalagaala Main Road, Nagarabhavi, II Stage, Umesh alias Kempe, 21, of Govindarajanagar, and Shivaji Rao, 32, of SVG Nagar in Pattagarapalya.

On a tip-off that Loki’s gang was waiting near Gaanakal Cross on Channasandra Main Road to commit robbery, the sleuths swung into action and arrested the trio. A Maruti Swift car and lethal weapons have been seized from them.

“Loki is a rowdy-sheeter in Kengeri police station and cases such as attempt to murder, assault, and attempt to robbery have been registered against him. Warrants have been issued against him twice after he stopped attending court cases. Umesh was involved in an attempt to robbery case in 2013,” the police said.
