Mumbai: The Royal Challengers Bangalore may have been knocked out of the cash-rich Indian Premier League in the second qualifier against a clinical Chennai Super Kings led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, but that won’t dampen the spirits of one of cricket’s biggest hitters and one half of RCB's opening pair, party lover Christopher Henry Gayle.

RCB suffered a three-wicket loss against CSK in a nail-biting qualifier that enabled the Men in Yellow cruise to their sixth IPL final. Gayle was distraught for that moment, when the hopes of entering their first IPL final came crashing down, but cricket is an uncertain game and sadly there has to be one winner and one team going back home.

It is never easy to keep a smiling face 24*7 but when we’re talking about Gayle it’s all about making merry. So what keeps the big Jamaican smiling all the time? These pictures might just convince you:

After a game, Gayle believes in relaxing those nerves and muscles. Seen here enjoying being treated at a spa. This might just help him unleash those fiery strokes the next day. (Photo: Instagram)

So after the spa, socialising is another important element Gayle involves himself in, his friends maybe rivals on the field but off it, they really have some good times together. Recently, he caught up with Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. (Photo: Instagram)

A nice smokes coupled with a drink should also do him a whole lot of good releasing the stress out. (Photo: Instagram)

And if socialising, smoke and the alcohol don’t work, there’s always food to the rescue – a nice big prawns platter may help. (Photo: Instagram)

It’s not the story off the field, on the field too, the West Indies all-rounder makes it a point to always keep that smiling face.

If fans are enthralled by ‘Gayle Storm’ then wonder what makes Gayle happy on field. Well, white ball flying everywhere gives him that kick. During the match against Mumbai Indians, high-flying AB clobbered an unbeaten  133 off 59 balls (4X19, 6X4), thereby stopping Mumbai Indians’(MI) winning streak. That innings turned out to be a match winning one for RCB and in this situation made Gayle all the more eccentric.

Chris Gayle has set an example of true sportsmanship playing fair, playing hard and above all playing to his heart’s content.
