Preetika Rao, who celebrates her birthday this week, on May 29, took time out to reply to her fans who sent her questions via the social media. We bring you a few of them:

Your best birthday memory from childhood? — Anupama
When I was little, my aunt who had come down from the US, made me a beautiful strawberry shortcake doll. I was so excited! And she had also got goody bags for all the cousins.

Who have you received the best gift from? — Shivani
A Pakistani girl called Lareib sent me a personalised golden pocket mirror with my name engraved on it. She also sent a customised lampshade with my pictures on it. Also last year, my Beintehaa producer had arranged for two red-velvet cakes during an outdoor shoot and Sanaya Irani who was shooting with me that day, got to relish her favourite cake.

What birthday plans do you have this year? Who is usually the first to wish you? — Zaya Shroff
I will be celebrating at home with my family. As per tradition, I will cut a cake in the temple. My sister is the one who wishes me first.

Five essentials in your handbag? — Anusree
My mobile phone, water bottle, first-aid kit, makeup pouch and wallet.

Who are you most scared of? — Prote
I’m scared of my dad, but that’s more out of respect. He is very autocratic by nature. He has always been particular that both his daughters are articulate and organised.

You had promised fans a surprise, when are you revealing it? — Smiley
Yes I had, just that it is taking some time to upload, as I have been busy. It is definitely coming up but fans will have to wait for some more time.

Would you want to work with Harshad (Arora) again and are you planning a re-union? — Bhavna
Why not? I would like to work with him. I’m not planning a re-union but if there is one I’ll definitely attend.

Your experience of working with Amitabh Bachchan in your first ad? — Harsha
That ad has been directed by Shoojit Sircar. Amitabhji is extremely funny and cracks a lot of jokes. Every time I did a shot, Amitji would clap and say “wow”. I would wonder if he was just pulling my leg or he really meant it. Two years ago I met him again on the sets of Satyagraha in Bhopal, where he was shooting with my sister, Amrita, but he remembered me.

Your nickname besides Pree? — Mahek
Someone I knew called me Pretzel. That was quite interesting.
