Intel report says IS growing in Karachi

Investigators believe that IS has considerably grown in the metropolis

Islamabad: The IS has been working in Pakistan’s Karachi since July 2014 and has been strengthening its network, intelligence reports said. The investigators probing the attack on a bus carrying Ismailis in Karachi believe the IS has considerably grown in the metropolis.

Media reports said that self-styled IS started working in Karachi when four militants associated with banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan escaped from North Waziristan Agency after the advent of military offensive and reached Karachi.
