Image of India has grown taller: Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi
Nirmala said the NDA govt has provided corruption-free government within a year
Bhopal: Praising the performance of the NDA government, Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Sunday said that it is for the first time in the country that a regime has risen over politics and is focussing on development.
“India’s image has grown taller in the world under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership,” the minister of state for minority affairs said.
“The government is often accused..., your duty is to hit back at the opposition with solid contentions and reach out to the media and finally public,” he told the spokespersons.
Hitting out at the Congress for making “baseless charges”, Union minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the NDA government has provided corruption-free government within a year.
“Our two major achievements are that we have successfully provided a corruption-free and transparent government within a year,” she said.
Claiming that BJP has also put in place a transparent government, she said a good example was e-auction of coal blocks after Supreme Court cancelled allocation of 122 blocks.
Meanwhile, describing Mr Modi as a “rockstar”, Rashtriya Lok Dal president and former Union minister Ajit Singh accused him of indulging in self-praise on foreign soil.
