Kolkata: After Virat Kohli called for trouble (from BCCI’s Anti-Corruption  and Security Unit) meeting girlfriend Anushka Sharma in between a match in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the cricketers became watchful with their approach towards close ones.

On Sunday, after Mumbai Indians shook the world (going by their slogan) clinching their second IPL title, there were two separate buses outside Gate 1 of Eden Gardens. One, a small 20-seater (for players’ families and media managers) and the other, the plush team bus.

Both the buses stood opposite to each other, thereby sharpening the discrimination further. But the little vehicle had more people drooling over.

Though the cricketers met their respective better halves and shared their joy, they ensured not overdoing things, not in front of the television cameras at least though the match, as well as the tournament was over. But the cricketers played safe with the ICC watchdog.

Mumbai’s icon, Sachin Tendulkar, was seen at the front seat (left side) of the team bus with a glowing head gear. Somebody must have put it on the Master’s head during the post match celebration and he did not take it out.

Harbhajan Singh was the only one to display sentiments coming out with a Mumbai flag wrapped in his body.

However, the electronic media personnels crowded outside the WAGs’ bus to shoot a glimpse of their reactions. But much to their dismay, the Saras and Ritikas did not even smile at them.

The chant “Arre Shochin er meye, shochin er meye” (Sachin’s daughter, Sachin’s daughter) kept echoing for a long time.

The city traffic police is also starstruck but were smart enough to balance their fan moment and work. Not letting the others move an inch beyond the line of control, the cops happily enjoyed the celebrities from close quarters.

The engine of the team bus was the first one to purr towards the hotel.
