Author and scholar Leonard Willoughby said, “As you begin to live according to your own guidance and your own daring everything changes completely.”  Likewise, a group of six techies followed what they believed in and  are an example to many in their town today. Technology Tangled, a start-up with zero investment, has now reached a turnover of nearly five lakh in eight months. Not just the company’s growth, but its effort to change the way people present their ideas, concepts and others is considerable.

Students or professionals can just choose a topic and get a detailed power point presentation within five hours.  “If a techie wants to reach Hyderabad from Vijayawada, and at the same time, he wants to present his idea the same day in his office, he may not find time to prepare for it. But he can just call us or visit our website and give the topic, so that our team would work   on it and email the presentation to the customer, by the time he reaches his office,” M. Revanth, founder and CEO of Technology Tangled, explains this unique and fast service.

Revanth, who just finished his graduation in electronics and communication engineering from Gudlavalleru Engineering College — Gudivada, a town located some 100 kms away from Vijayawada, rejected two offers from multi-national companies, just to start up his own company. His friend P. Dhana Lakshmi, CFO of the company, too rejected a job opportunity and started working for the company which was started by them.

Second year engineering student Faheem Syed and third year students Nitin and Padmaja later joined the team. The biggest support to the company is Mani Kiran, who left his job in a multinational company just to work as COO for Technology Tangled.  “I gave up my job to join the firm, because I have a vision for this and I am living life as I wish,” says Mani Kiran.

Revanth, the 20-year-old behind the start-up, says he always had the passion to start something on his own and he is glad to have found a team which believes in him. “My parents and Dhana Lakshmi’s were worried in the beginning as we turned down  good jobs. But after they saw us becoming successful, they gained confidence and encouraged us,” says Revanth.

“As of now, we have clients from Chennai, West Bengal and Hyderabad besides local students. So we have made 1,500 presentations and developed over 50 websites,” he adds. “We are also planning to conduct workshops on various technologies since most of the paid workshops in engineering colleges are conducted by experts from North India. We want to change the trend and save money for students,” says Revanth.

“Our investment is talent in multiple disciplines and the money we received  after designing two websites helped us start the firm. We have been to entrepreneurship summits at institutes like IIT, Kharagpur, StartAP Fest, KIIT, Bhubaneswar as successful entrepreneurs,” adds Revanth. The team is soon going to start an office in Vijayawada and spread the company’s activities.
