Andhra Pradesh capital will be the best in this century, says Chandrababu Naidu

Naidu said Singapore will submit the master plan for seed capital around July 15

Hyderabad: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that the government would construct Amaravati, the AP capital, as the best city of the 21st century.

Calling Amaravati a “people’s capital”, he said, “The capital is not only for administrative purposes… it should be dynamic and also have economic activity.”

Mr Naidu said the state government wants to complete the construction of the capital at the earliest.

Mr Naidu added, “We are facing many problems. The state is facing financial problems and in the capital area, employees have no residential facilities. The Centre should support the state in policy and financial matters.”

Mr Naidu said Singapore will submit the master plan for seed capital around July 15. He said after the bhoomipooja on June 6, the construction work will be expedited from Vijayadasami.

Mr Naidu said “Singapore prepared the master plan according to what we have in our mind; by and large the master plan is okay.”

The Chief Minister said the Andhra Pradesh state will do justice to the farmers who gave their land for the capital.
