Congressman Nadahalli wants to split Karnataka, can’t allow him into BJP: BJP leader Basangouda Patil
He stated that BJP does not entertain those who want to divide the state
Belagavi: Congress party MLA from Devarhippargi constituency A.S. Patil Nadahalli may have rebelled against his party putting Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in an embarrassing position but the opposition BJP is not prepared to accept him so quickly.
Former union minister and well known BJP leader Basangouda Patil Yatnal said, “The BJP will not allow the entry of a leader into the party who cheated the people of his constituency by giving them hollow assurances that he would provide jobs to them besides developing the constituency.”
Mr Yatnal said Nadahalli was involved in conducting mass marriages and had boasted that he would never enter politics and would continue with social work early in his career. He later assured youth that he would get them school books and bus passes free of cost and promised to build toilets for women.
“The people of his constituency believed him and voted for him with a lot of expectations. But he forgot all the assurances and wants to divide the state of Karnataka for no reason. He has betrayed people of his constituency by making such a demand,” said Mr Yatnal.
He stated that there was no chance of Nadahalli entering the BJP as the party does not entertain those who want to divide the state.
