I was horrified to see the appalling state of the place: Celina Jaitley

Mumbai: A couple of days ago Sunny Leone made headlines, after it was reported that the actress had been evicted from Celina Jaitley’s penthouse apartment in Andheri. The former adult star was living on rent in the apartment from November 2012.

The actress was finding it difficult to find a place to stay, and was grateful to Celina for the gesture. However Celina asked them to vacate the flat in November 2014 when their lease ended.

Although Sunny denied the news, actress Celina Jaitley spoke to 9XE and revealed the reason she threw the actress out of her home. She was quoted as saying , “I went out of my way to help my former tenants (Sunny and Daniel) as they were finding it hard to get a place on lease given their background. I even took guarantee for their character to the concerned authorities in good faith. I leased my beautiful penthouse to them for two years. At the end of the lease, I was horrified to see the appalling state of the place.”

According to the report the damages will cost the actress around Rs 8 lakh, and Daniel, Sunny’s husband has asked her to return their security deposit despite the extensive damage.

However Daniel refuted Celina’s words with his side of the story. He was quoted as saying, “We handed the flat back in perfect condition. In fact, we upgraded it by installing CCTV cameras. With that, we put a security system in place. If it was an issue, we would have gladly removed them. Most people would appreciate a security system.”

“We asked for our deposit back upon handing over the keys. She refused to return the money. I assume she must have needed money to act this way. I have never met Celina in my life. How is it possible that I threatened her.”

The couple has now decided to take legal action against Celina Jaitley to recover the amount in the security deposit.
