In the engineering stream, two AP students figured in the top-10 list

Hyderabad: Uppalapati Priyanka,  the TS topper in the Eamcet medical stream, hails from Nagulapalem village in Parchur mandal of Prakasam district. Four candidates who scored 158 marks shared four ranks in the medical stream — Paraselli Sai Teja from Dwaraka Nagar in Vizag, secured the fourth rank, Pydi Tejeswara Rao from Paidipeta village in Ranasthalam mandal in Srikakulam district (sixth), Ponnada Naga Satya Varalakshmi from Dowlaiswaram, Rajahmundry rural in East Godavari district (seventh) and Balabolu Keerthana Shanmukha from Ramajogipeta in Vizag secured the eighth rank.

In the engineering stream, two AP students figured in the top-10 list. Bhogi Keerthana from Bobbili in Vizianagaram district achieved the third rank by scoring 155 marks. One mark behind in seventh rank as Majji Sandeep Kumar from KL Puram in Vizianagaram.

Apart from Andhra Pradesh, students from other states too have qualified in TS Eamcet this year, competing for the 15 per cent open quota seats. In the engineering stream, as many as 3,836 students from other states appeared and 2,804 qualified (73.09 per cent), while 2,958 out of 3,447 in the medical stream (85.81 per cent) qualified.

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, who holds the education portfolio, released the results and said the first phase of engineering counselling would commence with verification of certificates from June 18 to 24.

“As per the tentative schedule prepared by TSCHE, students will be allowed to give options on their preferred colleges and branches from June 20 to 26. The second phase of certificate verification will be held on July 9 and 10 and students will be allowed to give their options from July 9 to 11. The seat allotment list will be released on July 14,” he said. He added that the selected students should report at the respective colleges from July 15 to 28 to take admissions and classes would commence from July 28.
