From her debut with Student Of The Year when she was just 18, Alia Bhatt has come a long way in a few short years. Today she is thought of as one of best actresses in the industry. DC caught up with Alia and her mother Soni Razdan for a small chat.

About her daughter’s success, Soni says, “I am happy that Alia has attained success at an early age. However, being a mother, I sometimes do fear for her success — Kahin kisi ki nazar na lag jaye — hope she does not catch the evil eye.

“Alia is not very Net savvy like Bhatt Sahab and me. Both of us are mostly on our laptops, phones etc. But it was Alia who taught me how to Skype,” she says with a smile.

Alia adds, “Ever since I was a child I would always see dad’s laptop and other technical stuff lying in his room. He is always on the laptop. My mom is also always busy sending messages, and at times I get fed up watching them at it all the time. I am not very Net savvy and I do not like wasting my time on messages, FB, Twitter.”

Alia is 22 now and the last four years in the industry have been a whirlwind. “Now at 22, work is worship for me. I always feel that I need to give my best. I believe that if I put in my best efforts, the results will always be great. But success can never get to my head, I take it as a part and parcel of my work. And I have a long way to go yet.”
