Mumbai: Actress Vidya Balan has turned down the offer to star in the biopic on Suchitra Sen as she felt she has no physical resemblance to the late actress. "I was offered the biopic but I am not doing it. I was surprised that it came out in the media that I agreed to do it and have even started training in Kathak. I would have loved to do it.. loved to play her on-screen," Vidya, 37, told PTI in an exclusive interview here.

"I loved the script but I feel I have absolutely no physical resemblance with her. It is a Bengali film so I feel Raima Sen, her grand daughter, who looks like her, should be doing it," she said. Vidya might have done this project if it was in Hindi. "If it was in Hindi then it was still ok as you can take certain liberties.. but it is in Bengali," the actress said.

Reportedly, there was another biopic that was offered to Vidya on late Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. "I was not offered this film. I don't know where this news came from that I was offered this film," the "Dirty Picture" protagonist said.

The National award-winning actress has signed two films but she did not reveal much details. "I have okayed two scripts but I can't talk about it," she said.

Vidya is looking forward to the release of Mohit Suri's "Hamari Adhuri Kahani" which will hit the screens on June 12.
