Nellore: Based on the preliminary autopsy report, police arrived into a conclusion that the death of noted physician and founder of Nellore hospitals, Dr G. Vijayakumar is unnatural. Dr Vijayakumar, 58, passed away at his mother’s residence in New Military Colony during the early hours of Thursday.
His kin attributed the death to cardiac arrest. However his friends and JVV activists led by one Sesha Reddy lodged a complaint suspecting foul play behind the death late on Thursday night.
Based on a complaint, police led by V Town Inspector Subba Rao collected the body. After post-mortem, police have detained his son Sundaraiah for questioning.
Police strongly believe that it is a planned murder by own family members. They suspect the role of at least three persons going by the injuries on the body and the short opinion given by forensic expert Dr Z. Sasikanth after the post-mortem strengthened their opinion.
