Bengaluru: Hebbagodi police on Saturday handed over Rs 65,000 to the 32-year-old Bangladeshi woman, who was thrashed, strip-searched, humiliated and robbed of her cash at a supermarket here last Monday.
“The police have recovered Rs 60,000 from the accused, Manjula, and the rest of Rs 5000 was given by the D-Mart manager to the victim,” said Rajesh Kumar Yadav, who had helped Rashida, while speaking to Deccan Chronicle.
The victim’s husband, who underwent a heart surgery on Monday, has to undergo a final check up. After this, she will decide to move with her husband to her hometown in Bangladesh, he added.

The police are yet to nab the two female security guards from D-Mart. “We have identified the female guards, but they did not report for work today. We will nab them soon,” said a senior police officer.
The woman came to the city for her husband’s heart surgery a few days ago. She was not only thrashed and humiliated, but also strip-searched and robbed of Rs 65,000 by a city-based woman with the help of two female security guards , accusing her of lifting a pair of footwear in Bommasandra.
