Home minister of Telangana, Nayani Narsimha Reddy
HyderabadHome minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on Saturday chided Osmania University students for burning the effigies of Chief Minister K.  Chandrasekhar Rao and accused the Opposition, especially Congress, of  inciting them.

“Osmania University lands are safe under the TRS government. Who is taking away OU lands? It is public property. The Congress, vested interests and some newspapers are whipping up passions,” he remarked.

The minister also faulted some OU students belonging to the youth wings of Opposition parties for burning the effigies of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and attacking public properties.

“Anti-TRS forces are engaged in this. Burning of the CM’s effigy is wrong. Who has taken OU lands? Why this hungama on a passing comment made by the Chief Minister. Students should not fall into the Opposition’s trap. Spitting on KCR is like spitting on the sun. It will fall on them,” he remarked. Congress and other Opposition parties have launched a slanderous campaign against the TRS government, he alleged.
