Enrique Iglesias hurt in drone incident
The singer was rushed to the airport where an ambulance was waiting to give him first aid
Enrique Iglesias spent his Sunday recovering after some of his fingers were sliced when he grabbed a drone during a concert in Tijuana, Mexico. A representative for the singer said in a statement that Iglesias was ‘semi-treated’ after the accident at the side of the stage to stop the bleeding on Saturday night.
He was advised to end the show, but went on to perform for an additional 30 minutes. The singer was rushed to the airport where an ambulance was waiting to give him first aid. He then flew to Los Angeles to meet with a specialist. Iglesias was just 50 minutes into his performance – halfway through the song Escape – when the incident occured. Fans claimed that after the incident, he attempted to draw a heart on his T-shirt using his own blood, with surprisingly artistic results.
