New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday stated that “discrimination against any community won't be tolerated” as he spoke to news agency UNI. He also told the agency that the government had managed to usher in 'acche din' (good days) in the country.

“Our Constitution guarantees religious freedom to every citizen and that is not negotiable,” the Prime Minister said.

“Acche din aak chuke hain. Lekin kuch log hamare kaamon ko dhumil karne mein lage hain (good days have arrived but some people are trying to belittle the work done by us,” Modi added.

Hitting out at the opposition, Modi said, "Opposition to the Land Bill is politically motivated, but I am open to suggestions".

Modi also made it clear that the land bill focussed on benefiting farmers.
