Revanth Reddy says he is innocent
Kondal Reddy said, “My brother might have spoken to the MLA as part of politics
Hyderabad: Arrested TD MLA Revanth Reddy alleged that he had been falsely implicated in the bribery scandal and said that he would continue to fight against Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Speaking to media while being taken to Gandhi Hospital after the arrest, Mr Reddy said, “Why do I need to do it? Am I contesting the elections?” “Even if the government frames 100 illegal cases against me, I will not cow down. I still have the courage to fight against Mr Chandrasekhar Rao.”
When asked whether he had offered to pay Rs 50 lakh bribe, he said, “They can say anything.” Mr Reddy was casually dressed, wearing a t-shirt and was seen talking on his phone while being taken from the residence of Mr Elvis Stephenson’s friend. “I will fight KCR for the next 25 years. They have booked illegal cases against me earlier too. As I have been speaking out strongly against the CM, he targeted me. My party and my party activists are with me.”
Mr Revanth Reddy’s brother, Mr Kondal Reddy said, “My brother might have spoken to the MLA as part of politics. Everything else is a cooked up story.”
