With the summer vacations on,  you might be  enrolling your  child  in  tuition centres in subjects where he or she is weak. The logistics to attending classes  at odd hours  and far from home might be a challenge. A Bangalore-based start-up called Vedantu (www.vedantu.com) has now brought the experience of  personalised tuition centres  for class 6 to 10 and a variety of entrance exams.

You can sign up your child with a particular teacher, for a particular subject depending on the syllabus (CBSE, ICSE ) and mutual availability of your child and the teacher.

Vedantu ensures 1-to-1 guidance for your child, complete with a virtual whiteboard, live video and audio chat with the teacher, and even an option to record the teaching session for future revisions.

Vedantu's technology - WAVE - Whiteboard, Audio and Video Environment claims  to work even  with low-bandwidth connections. The site offers courses for science and maths, but plans to include language subjects very soon. Individual subject coaching starts at Rs. 600 a month
