I’ll never forgive myself for it: Deepika Padukone on not inviting Amitabh Bachchan

Mumbai: When Amitabh Bachchan was absent at Deepika Padukone’s ‘Piku’ success party, it was assumed that the actor was unwell and decided to skip the party. However a shocking discovery was made, when the actor revealed in an interview that he was never invited in the first place.

This gave rise to a string of rumours suggesting the duo may have had a fall out. However Deepika cleared the air about everything in an interview with DNA. The actress said she’s completely embarrassed about it.

She was quoted as saying, “It was a major technical error on my part and by the time it came to my notice it was too late and I’ll never forgive myself for it.”

She also revealed that she doesn’t have the courage to explain herself to the star over the phone. She added, “I am so embarrassed that I have not even had the courage to call him after that. I did eventually text him, couple of days ago but I have still not had the courage to pick up the phone and even explain myself to him. But I will. It was a major technical thing.”
