New Delhi: US-based cab service provider Uber has landed in a fresh controversy with one of its drivers being accused of molesting a female passenger during a ride to Gurgaon.

The victim registered her complaint over phone to an Uber representative following the incident on Sunday wherein the cab driver identified as Vinod allegedly forced himself upon her, “trying to kiss and molest her”.

An Uber representative replied, “We have a zero tolerance policy for this behaviour and I assure you that our team is following up with Vinod (cab driver) appropriately and immediately.”

The woman's brother alleged inaction and demanded punishment for the culprit. He moved the Gurgaon police. The cab service is banned in the national capital following rape of a 27-year-old financial consultant.
