Hyderabad: There have been some pre-monsoon showers across several districts in TS and AP. In Vijayawada, rains brought down the temperature by nearly 7ºC.

Meteorologists say that this relief is temporary and temperatures could start to climb again.  Permanent relief from heat can be expected only after monsoon hits the two states.

The maximum temperature continued to be above 45ºC at Jangamaheshwaram in AP and at Adilabad and Nizamabad in TS.
