Hyderabad: The HC asked the TS advocate-general to ascertain from the office of the Assembly Speaker how much time was needed to dispose of pending disqualification petitions against some MLAs.

A bench comprising acting CJ Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice S.V. Bhatt was dealing with a batch of petitions seeking disqualification of some MLAs on the ground of defection.

TD leader E. Dayakar Rao in his petition, sought a direction to the Speaker to expedite hearing on the disqualification of party MLAs Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Teegala Krishna Reddy and Challa Dharma Reddy.

Congress MLA S.A. Sampath Kumar sought disqualification of Kale Yadaiah, D.S. Redya Naik, G. Vittal Reddy and Koram Kanakaiah for joining the TRS.
