Kuppam gets Rs 270 crore for roads, drains
Govt is spending Rs 15 crore for strengthening of a 100-bed area hospital at Kuppam
Hyderabad: Kuppam Assembly constituency represented by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has been sanctioned Rs 270 crore for development of 194 BT and cement roads and drainages in 582 habitations. Earlier, the Chief Minister had formed the Kuppam Area Development Authority with headquarters at Kuppam consisting of four mandals of Kuppam, Gudupalli, Santhipuram and Ramakuppam which forms part of Madanapalle revenue division of Chittoor district.
Already the government is spending Rs 15 crore for strengthening of a 100-bed area hospital at Kuppam. Also, the Kuppam region in Chittoor district has been selected for implementation of development of commercial floriculture project on a pilot basis at an estimated cost of Rs 3.06 crore.
The funds would also be utilised for establishment and maintenance of Kuppam Regional Institute for Sharing Horticulture Information incubator centre for at least three years. A couple of months ago, the government gave the green signal for construction of a modern sports complex at Kuppam at a cost of Rs 2.30 crore.
