Kolkata: BCCI chief Jagmohan Dalmiya’s grandson Aditya was arrested here on Wednesday for assaulting and threatening traffic cops flaunting his contacts.

Aditya got into an altercation which went out of control. Later, he was produced before a Juvenile Justice Board.

He is a Class 10 student and the incident took place while he was returning home after a game of football. The row started once his driver, Zakir Hossain, broke a traffic rule on EM Bypass.

Hossain had parked the car in a no-parking zone that led Traffic Police Sergeant Sujoy Pramanik and Sub-inspector Amlan Bhattacharya to interfere, reports India Today.

Baishali, Dalmiya’s daughter, surprisingly lodged a counter FIR against the policeman for assaulting the driver after one was lodged against Aditya and Hossain at the Garfa police station.
