Farhan Akhtar now on action mode
Says he is excited about working with Amitabh Bachchan in their next, Wazir
After Dil Dhadakne Do, Farhan Akhtar has an action film lined up, Wazir, with Amitabh Bachchan. “It’s great to work with Vidhu Vinod Chopra, whose films I have admired since Parinda. It’s also a dream come true to be sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan himself.”
About doing an action flick like Wazir, Farhan says, “I have spent a lot of my childhood pretending to be a superhero. And obviously, every superhero needs villains. I used to imagine villains inside my house and I went about shooting them with my toy gun. While playing this game once, I imagined a villain hiding behind my bedroom door and I decided to open the door, throw a punch in the air and kill my enemy. Little did I realise that Zoya (his sister) would be at the receiving end.”
“That’s the day I decided that action was not my genre and maybe romance would be a safer gamble... But I learn a lot of action for this film,” he concludes.
