Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh 'met through me’, says her cousin
Rohit and Ritika had known each other for six years before they got engaged
Bunty Sachdeva, owner of Cornerstone Sport & Entertainment, has been known to handle professional engagements of many famous celebrities, including Rohit Sharma. But in Rohit’s case, it was personal.
The cricketer got engaged to Bunty’s cousin, Ritika Sajdeh, on June 2 in a private ceremony at Mumbai.

Bunty, who was instrumental in introducing the two, however, insists that he didn’t play matchmaker.
“I’ve known Rohit for 10 years now. I’ve been tracking him since before he started playing for India. They happened to meet through me. That’s it. They played matchmaker for each other,” Bunty said.

Rohit and Ritika had known each other for six years. Ritika had been managing his sporting engagements for Cornerstone.
“I have always liked Rohit as a person. I’m very glad that he’s a part of the family now. They are lucky to have found each other,” Bunty added.
Bunty and Ritika are first cousins but she’s as close to him as his sister, Seema Khan, who’s married to Sohail Khan. “We’ve grown up together in the same house. She’s been working for my company since the beginning. I could not be happier for her,” he said.

Ritika was the first person to join Bunty’s company and since then, she’s become an integral part of his company. Will she balance work and home, post marriage? “That’s up to her. It’s her office, she can work however she wants. She can take a break or do whatever she wants,” he said.

With the cricket season beginning soon, all celebrations are on hold for now. “The wedding dates have not been finalised yet. We will have a function for them but not for a while now. Cricket season is starting now and Rohit has to focus on his cricket,” Bunty said.
