Rajahmundry: The cash-for-vote scam involving Telangana TD MLA A. Revanth Reddy in recently held MLC polls may take a new turn as the AP government now plans to lodge a complaint with the Centre accusing the Telangana  government of tapping the phones of the AP Chief Minister, his Cabinet  ministers and public representatives of the state in Hyderabad, the common capital.

N. Chinarajappa, the Deputy CM and minister for home, on Friday said, “Based on the statement of Telangana home minister N.  Narasimha Reddy that they have the audio tapes of alleged conversation of our Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu with nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson seeking favour in the MLC polls, it is evident that the TS government has tapped the phones of our CM and other MLAs. As Hyderabad is a common capital, both AP and TS have equal rights on it. I wonder how the TS government can resort to such an act against the AP government.”

“We are pursuing the issue. In case we find any evidence of the TS government tapping the phones of Mr Naidu and others, we will lodge a complaint with the Centre,” he said.
