Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ creates history, makes 100cr in China

The film achieved the feat in just 16 days of its release

Mumbai: Chinese-dubbed version of Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan-starrer 'PK' was premiered in China a few days ago.

Known to all the event was attended by the superstar himself, director Rajkumar Hirani, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra along with several other fans.

Now reports state that the film’s success in the neighbouring country has reached heights and the film has created history. ‘PK’ which released in 4600 screens across China, crossed the 100 crore mark in just 16 days of its release there. The film’s initial release on December 19 last year collected Rs 615 crores worldwide, breaking Aamir Khan's own record of Dhoom 3's total earnings of Rs 540 crores at home and abroad.

While interacting with the press at the premiere, Aamir said, "We were really happy that 3 idiots hit it off well with the audience here. We have wanted to come to China ever since, we were very excited when the distributors called us over here for PK."
