When you decide to take that well deserved break from all the 1-on-1 learning, you can use the same desktop to chill out for a bit, not literally, of course, with a tiny desktop fridge that you can power through the USB port of a PC or laptop. Or you can use the mains with a USB 5 V adapter .
It's about 15 cms tall - just large enough to take a glass or a soft drink can and works on the thermo-electric principle – i.e. no gas. Models available on Indian Internet shopping sites cost between Rs 1000 and Rs 3000, usually Made-in-China products. Most makes of USB fridge also double as a cup warmer, so you can keep your chai warm. The pricier models take 2 cans or cups.
