Hyderabad: An Anti-Corruption Bureau team on Tuesday morning raided the residence of arrested TDP MLA Revanth Reddy and two others in the alleged cash-for-vote scam.

ACB also raided the residences of TDP Christian Cell head Bishop Harris Sebastian and BJYM president Rudra Uday Simha.

Reddy was caught red-handed in Hyderabad on May 31 by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) while he was attempting to bribe a nominated Anglo-Indian MLA Elvis Stephenson in Telangana State MLC (Member of Legislative Council) elections.

Reddy was allegedly about to hand over Rs 50 lakh in cash to Stephenson.

Ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi accused TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of playing a role in the alleged bribery attempt by Reddy.

TV channels on Sunday aired an alleged conversation between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson in which the CM assured that “all commitments would be fulfilled”.

The recording is said to part of the Revanth Reddy cash-for-vote case. The conversation was first aired by T News channel and was followed by others.
