Team of funny names: These cricketers will make you go ROFL
From the root of all problems, broad perspective to butt of ridicule
Mumbai: Surname reflects background and at times, family occupation. But there are names which can tickle ribs. On a lighter note, few cricketers’ last names could make you roll on the floor. Here they are.
Niroshan Dickwella: After four Tests and one ODI, he has been ‘vella’ (with all the time in the world). He is from Sri Lanka.

Sikandar Raza Butt: Not the butt of ridicule as Salman – the Pakistan cricketer – but he still has a long way to go for Zimbabwe.

Ian Bell: Whenever England was in trouble, they rang this bell. This bell could stay aflot in any situation and its gurgle frustrated all oppositions.

Quinton de Kock: No, he isn’t a shuttlecock or the one you may be imagining. He is South Africa’s wicketkeeper and also a talented batsman.
Alastair Cook: His culinary skills aren’t known yet but on the pitch, England’s Test captain can boil, marinate and fry all bowlers.

Jos Buttler: We love Jos and the young prospect he is but his surname must have created embarrassing situations for the cricketer. Chief manservant of which house? England and Wales Cricket Board?

Matt Prior: The former Ashes hero is currently injured. But prior to that, Kevin Pietersen did give him priority in his autobiography.

Stuart Broad: Yuvraj Singh broadened his career after slamming six sixes in an over off his bowling but those days, Stuart was little. Now, he is broad and one of the leading speedsters for England.

Joe Root: The root of all problems during Ashes 2013 started when David Warner apparently punched him inside a bar. But he has been rooted to his batting. Difficult to uproot his stumps.

Jason Holder: He is young and holding the entire West Indies team on his shoulder. What will the future generation call him when he retires? The man who was holding after Michael Holding.

Dwayne Bravo: Even he has the moves like Johnny Bravo on the cricket pitch. The West Indies and Chennai Super Kings star breaks into a jig whenever in the mood.
