Suriya follows Salman’s social media policy
Actor has asked his fans to spend time wisely and not to have wars of words
It was only a couple of days back that B’town star Salman Khan asked his followers not to engage in ‘fan fights’ on Twitter and added that he won’t mind leaving the social networking site if he finds that ‘hatredness’ is being spread there.
He also said that Aamir and Shah Rukh are his friends and that he joined Twitter to spread love. His tweets were appreciated by many across the nation then. Taking a leaf out of this, Suriya has also come up with a similar request asking his fans and other movie buffs to spend time wisely and not to have wars of words over fandom. He tweeted, “Just don’t want fans n well wishers to fight with other fans..! Spend more time on yourself, family n make them proud! hv a great day.”
Veteran actor Mohan Raman appreciated Suriya’s initiative and endorsed it. He termed actors in film industry as various dishes in a meal and said that everyone is unique and important. He cited how fan clubs of Kamal Haasan are functioning as friendship clubs and requested the fans of stars to join under one roof for the welfare of the industry. The requests from Suriya and Mohan Raman have come in the wake of ugly spats by fans of various actors in the recent days in Facebook and Twitter.
