Viren to act in Azhar biopic

Viren Thambidorai, an ad filmmaker, is all set to act in the Azharuddin biopic. Emraan Hashmi is playing the former Indian cricket captain in the film directed by Anthony D’Souza.

Viren recently uploaded a video on YouTube, which was seen by the director. “Apart from acting in this video, I have sung and written the lyrics of this song. The music reminds one of the 70s music of Hindi cinema. After watching my video, the director called me and offered a pivotal role in this biopic,” says Viren.

He added that he is happy to be a part of this film and he will participate in the shoot from July. The director was more impressed with Viren’s acting abilities than with his looks. Though Viren is known to the director, Anthony noticed him as an actor only after he saw this video.
Apart from this Hindi film, Viren is going to act in three Telugu films, including a Puri Jagannadh film.
