Courier boy harasses Bengaluru woman, post lewd message
The message was posted from the profile of Syam Sasindran and it has since been deleted
BENGALURU: Scrapping of Section 66A of the IT Act does not mean it is a free for all in the cyber world. An employee of a courier service, Blue Dart Aviation, working at the city's international airport, recently posted a lewd message targeting a woman in Bengaluru – "Do you want to have s** with me? Here is my number 80******46”.
The message was posted from the profile of Syam Sasindran and it has since been deleted. But the victim has taken snapshots of the profile and is thinking to approaching the Cyber Crime police for help.
On May 29, the 25-year-old old victim, Aarti (name changed), who hails from Mumbai and stays in Bengaluru, was looking for some help to sell a gift article in a group called ‘Garage Sales – Bangalore’ on Facebook. While she was waiting for a genuine buyer, Syam approached her and Aarti accepted his request, thinking that he was interested in the article.

Aarti said, “I thought he wanted to buy the gift article I had put up for sale. But to my horror, he started harassing me at all odd hours. I figured out that he was up to some mischief and I did not respond to his messages.”
Soon after, the accused put up the message on her profile in the public domain, saying, “Dear... I would like to have s** with you. If you like, you can contact me on 80******46. If you are not interested, leave it. Please don’t try to distribute my number.”
The admin of the group quickly deleted Syam’s post and erased all evidence, but not before Aarti took snapshots of all the messages by the accused and saved it.
