Veteran actor Dilip Kumar may receive Bharat Ratna: reports

Mumbai: Veteran actor Dilip Kumar may be conferred with the prestigious Bharat Ratna award by Narendra Modi’s government, according to reports. Routine information of the actor is reportedly being gathered for the same.

However if the actor is conferred with the award, it will be difficult for him to travel to New Delhi to receive it. It will have to be presented to him in Mumbai.

The actor has earlier receieved the Padma Bhushan award, Dadasaheb Phalke award for outstanding contribution to cinema (1991), Padma Bhushan award (1994) and the  Padma Vibhushan award  (2015).
