However the actress feels her decade long journey has been ‘totally fulfilling'- like an amusement park ride. She sees herself working till the last day of her life.

Vidya Balan completed a decade in Bollywood on Wednesday and husband Siddharth Roy Kapoor along with the rest of her family, threw a surprise bash to celebrate the achievement.

A source present at the party reveals, “Vidya had arranged a screening of her latest film Hamari Adhuri Kahani for the family. After the movie Siddharth called for a cake which had posters of all the movies that Vidya has acted in, till date."

Vidya in an exclusive chat said, “Yes my family arranged for a cake and we opened a bottle of champagne, I spent the day with friends and family.” So when she was shooting for her debut Parineeta did she imagine she would be this big a success one day? “ No I never had imagined. I just knew I had signed a promising film and I was capable of doing a good job but never had I thought of all that I have achieved today.”

And what are the lessons that she has learnt from her 10 years in Bollywood? “ I’ve learnt the importance of being yourself, that’s the only way people will appreciate and love you, here. Putting on an act, never helps.”
